By using Olier, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms apply to the Olier website at olier.ai, related Olier services, and the Olier ChatGPT app served from https://mcp.olier.ai/mcp.

What Olier Provides

Olier helps gardeners search plants, read plant encyclopedia information, estimate local growing suitability, compare plant guilds, find companion plants, view plant photos, and explore ecological gardening information.

Some features may include saved gardens, saved guilds, community submissions, surveys, plant clinic workflows, outbound source or purchase links, and paid features.

Educational Gardening Guidance

Olier provides ecological and horticultural information to help users explore plants, compare plant combinations, and make more informed gardening decisions. This includes plant encyclopedia facts, local suitability estimates, guild scores, companion recommendations, disease and pest association records, pollinator and beneficial predator summaries, and practical growing suggestions.

Olier's outputs are informational decision aids, not guarantees. Plant performance can vary with cultivar, soil, drainage, sunlight, season, pests, disease pressure, microclimate, management, and local regulations. Suitability scores and guild scores are based on available datasets, models, and ecological interpretation, and may be incomplete, uncertain, outdated, or unsuitable for a specific garden, farm, container, region, or growing system.

You are responsible for checking local conditions before acting on Olier's guidance. This includes plant toxicity, invasive status, biosecurity rules, pesticide or biological-control product labels, food safety, and any professional or regulatory advice that applies to your situation. Olier does not replace professional agricultural, horticultural, pest-control, medical, veterinary, toxicology, legal, or safety advice.

Accounts And User Content

You are responsible for your account activity and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You are also responsible for any plant notes, guilds, gardens, reviews, reports, photos, survey responses, feedback, or other content you submit.

Do not submit content unless you have the rights to do so. If you submit content to public or shared areas of Olier, you grant Olier permission to host, display, reproduce, adapt, and use that content to operate and improve the service.

Public And Community Areas

Public submissions may be visible to other users. Do not include private information in public submissions.

Olier may moderate, remove, or refuse content that is unlawful, harmful, misleading, spammy, abusive, invasive of privacy, infringing, or otherwise inconsistent with the service.

Payments And Third-Party Links

If you purchase a paid feature, payment processing may be handled by Stripe or another payment provider. Prices, subscription terms, refunds, and billing flows will be shown at the point of purchase where applicable.

Olier may link to third-party websites, marketplaces, product sources, or services, including Amazon and eBay. Those third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Olier is not responsible for third-party content, availability, products, fulfillment, pricing, or claims.

Some outbound links may be affiliate or referral links. If so, Olier may receive a commission or other benefit when you follow a link or make a purchase.

ChatGPT App

The Olier ChatGPT app exposes read-only plant tools. These tools search plant records, return plant encyclopedia facts, evaluate plant guilds, and recommend companion plants. They do not create public posts, send messages, delete user data, or change publicly visible internet state.

Your use of ChatGPT is also governed by OpenAI's applicable terms and privacy practices. Olier is responsible for the Olier app and service, while OpenAI is responsible for ChatGPT and its platform.

Acceptable Use

When using Olier, you must not:

• Use the service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive activity.
• Submit false, infringing, private, or misleading content.
• Attempt to overload, scrape, disrupt, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass security for the service except where allowed by law.
• Use Olier outputs as a substitute for required professional, safety, regulatory, or product-label advice.

Privacy

Olier's handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

Olier owns or licenses the service, software, interface, scoring logic, compiled content, design, branding, and related materials. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use Olier for its intended purposes.

Third-party datasets, images, trademarks, services, and user submissions remain subject to their own rights and licenses.

Availability And Changes

Olier may change, suspend, remove, rate-limit, or discontinue features, datasets, recommendations, prices, or access at any time. We may update these terms as the service changes. The latest version will be posted at https://olier.ai/terms with an updated date.

Disclaimers

Olier is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Olier disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and successful gardening, farming, ecological, or commercial outcomes.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Olier will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, crop loss, garden loss, property damage, business interruption, or third-party claims arising from use of the service.

Suspension Or Termination

Olier may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, create risk for other users or the service, or where required for legal, security, or operational reasons.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, except where consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise.
